Ellis Odynn is a prominent figure in the global FinTech and AI ecosystem. She is a frequent speaker at international conferences and has spoken at the Financial Action Task Force on financial crime risks of FinTech, at APEC on law and AI, and at ACAMS on FinTech issues and financial crime, among others. She leads the team at the Digital Finance Institute and is the producer of its flagship Canadian FinTech & AI Awards and Canada FinTech Week, both national events to celebrate Canadian innovation and innovators. Ellis, with co-host Tongtong Xu, created the popular "Top 50 Women in FinTech" report, the "Top 50 FinTech Companies" report and the "AI 30 Under 30" reports. Prior to leading the Institute, Ellis was in charge of a financial crime unit for digital currency exchange transactions, responsible for investigating and tracing Blockchain transactions internationally for fraud mitigation and reporting to law enforcement and government agencies. Ellis graduated with a degree in psychology and studied the impact of technology on the business industry. Even though she has hosted many international tech events, hosting Let’s Tech is still an exciting and challenging new experience for her.
Tongtong Xu is a prominent woman in finance and technology in Canada. She co-produces flagship Canadian events including the FinTech and AI Awards and Canada FinTech Week, and is responsible for the launch of the popular "Top 50 Women in FinTech", "Top 50 FinTech Companies" and "30 Under 30 in AI" reports. She has worked in the finance and technology industry for an extended period of time and has spoken at various tech conferences on the topic of innovation. She is an expert in Blockchain, financial technology and artificial intelligence. She has an undergraduate degree in International Business and Trade and a Master's degree in International Business.
